Mustafa Tameez’s long career in communications and public affairs has focused on helping clients overcome challenges both here and abroad. Texas Monthly Magazine named Mustafa one of 5 political players to watch in Texas. He has advised election campaigns for State Legislators, Mayors, Members of Congress, and various public institutions. He has also led efforts to pass some of the largest bond referendums in Houston’s history.
Mustafa holds a seat on Unity National Bank’s Board of Directors (the oldest African American bank in Texas), the Transportation Advocacy Group, is Co-Chair of the South Asian Chamber of Commerce, a Director with the Texas Lyceum, a senior fellow with the American Leadership Forum, and a news analyst and contributor for the Houston Chronicle, the Texas Tribune, and FOX 26. He also co-hosts a popular Sunday morning show on FOX 26 called the Round Up.
Mustafa now provides communications and public affairs consulting to the business and non-profit sector. He is Founder and Managing Director of Outreach Strategists, a bipartisan public affairs firm with offices in Houston and Austin. His firm serves clients and projects ranging in size and scope from small local interests to national governments.
