Jack Drake is in his eleventh year with LAN, where his role is Client Relations and Team Development.  For 23 years, he was president of the North Houston District, which provides services and improvements, including parks, trails, transportation and public safety, to ensure the growth and prosperity of the commercial and residential center at I-45 and the Sam Houston Parkway.  In recognition of his service, the District developed and named twelve wooded acres along Greens Bayou as Jack Drake Park.

Jack was recognized by the Texas House of Representatives for significant improvements in the District and honored by the North Houston Association with their Visionary Award, presented by then Mayor Annise Parker, for twenty-years of service and “for initiatives, leadership for those initiatives, and for an innate ability to empower leaders and inspire action that benefits the entire Houston Region.”  

He is Co-Founder in 2010 of Transportation Advocacy Group—Houston Region (TAG), created to secure more adequate funding for transportation infrastructure.  His partners in founding TAG are former Engineers of the Year Wayne Klotz and former TXDOT District Engineer Gary Trietsch, and Gary Montgomery, owner of his own engineering company.

Jack has served on the board of TAG since its inception and has served as Vice Chair and Chairman.

Among other volunteer commitments, he is Co-Founder and has served as an Advisory Council member to the Greens Bayou Coalition from which he received the Founders Award in 2011.  The Coalition promotes resilience, economic development, conservation of wildlife, and quality of life in the Greens Bayou Watershed, including flood mitigation projects, parks, trails, and canoe launches.

Jack holds degrees in Business (BBA) and Law (JD) with Honors from the University of Oklahoma, his native state.  He moved to Houston, following service in the United States Navy.
