After 140 days of legislative activity, the 89th Texas Legislature adjourned Sine Die on June 2, 2025. This session saw the highest volume of bills filed in recent Texas legislative history. In total, the Legislature passed 1,300 bills and joint resolutions, while over 8,000 others died in committee or failed to meet procedural deadlines.
